Teach – Pick something that you are interested in. You can ask yourself questions. Examples: What do you like to do in your spare time? What are your hobbies? What is your favorite travel destination? You can employ free association or you can browse the many topic lists on the Internet.
Tip – Find a topic and you don’t want it to be too broad. You want it to be a little bit specific so it can really tell a great story and make your listeners stay interested throughout the whole speech.
To Do – Write a list of possible topics and think about the best topic and then narrow that topic
