We wrote about public speakers talking for too long. But you also don’t want to be too short either.

It is a difficult trick. How do you know if you speaking too much or not enough?

Simple answer: practice.

Long answer: Ask yourself, how long a time or how many words so I want to devote to each topic or entry? Can you from such a practical consideration determine how long your speech will be? Most speakers make speeches too short or too long. Be aware of any time limits and know how long your speech will run. You will only know that through practice.

Time yourself doing the speech in advance to know if you are running short or running long and adjust.
